Brother Number Three by Judy Serrano - Review and Giveaway

Title: Brother Number Three
Author: Judy Serrano

Synopsis: Coming in third place was something that was all too familiar to Hector Montiago. As his strength and grounding personality pushes him into first place with the woman he loves, lines are crossed and sides are chosen. In the second book of the series, Brother Number Three depicts family ties in a light unequal to any other. Lilly tells the story of how the brothers unite in the effort to recover her missing son, as blood becomes both the indestructible bond that holds them together and the opposing force that pushes them apart. They fight temptation, while the enemies of the Montiago cartel unleash their wrath, only to discover that the true danger lies within. From Amazon.

My Thoughts: I have some very mixed feelings about this book, well this series actually. From the start of Easter's Lilly (the first book in this series) I was a little frustrated with Lilly. That girl just can't seem to make up her mind. As the books have gone on I think I have just grown used to her flighty ways. She really is a bit of a mess though, hopping from guy to guy, panic attacks constantly. But where would the books (and the men) be without Lilly?

Oh those Montiago men! I loved reading about the brothers that love Lilly. Max, Diego, and Hector have a very humorous and sometimes volatile relationship. They are constantly vying for Lilly's attention but still joking and having fun with each other. Well at least they are when they aren't pulling guns. See volatile.

Brother Number Three was a pretty wild ride through Lilly and the Montiago men's life in a cartel. At first I was thinking, good grief can so much happen to people so quickly? Then I just started wondering, what will happen next??, but in a good way. I think that Serrano can really hold a reader's attention. Page upon page of suspense, thrills, and romance. I'm not going to lie, once I got over Lilly's craziness, this series just drug me along for the ride. I haven't been able to put them down, and I am almost finished with Relatively Close (the third book in this series).
